Summary
The effectiveness of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) in suppressing lipid peroxidation in the study suggests that SAMe might be a useful agent in cell preservation solutions. The addition of SAMe to EuroCollins solution seems to result in a cheap, simple, and suitable medium for hepatocyte preservation. SAMe may also be a useful additive to cell cryopreservation media.
