Summary

STANDARD CALCULATIONS ON THERMODYNAMIC CYCLES TRADITIONALLY USE THE PROPERTY ENTHALPY IN THE ENERGY EQUATIONS. WHEN THE NEED FOR ACCURATE SIMULATION OF COMPONENTS ARISES, THE USE OF THE SPECIFIC HEAT AT CONSTANT PRESSURE OF VAPOUR AND ITS ADIABATIC EXPONENT MAY BECOME INTERESTING. IN THE PAPER EQUATIONS FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE SPECIFIC HEATS AT CONSTANT PRESSURE AND VOLUME, AND ADIABATIC EXPONENT ARE DISCUSSED. THE EQUATIONS DERIVED APPLY TO REFRIGERANTS R11, R12, R13, R13B1, R14, R22, R113, R114 AND R502.
