CALCULATIONS OF THE VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM OF SOME BINARY SYSTEMS OF REFRIGERANTS BY VARIOUS CUBIC EQUATIONS OF STATE.

Author(s) : HERRES B., GORENFLO D.

Summary

THE AUTHORS HAVE COMPARED 5 EQUATIONS OF STATE IN DETAIL: THE REDLICH-KWONG-SOAVE EQUATION, THE PENG-ROBINSON EQUATION, THE PATEL-TEJA EQUATION, THE TREBBLE-BISHNOI EQUATION AND THE SCHREINER EQUATION. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY WAS TO EXAMINE WHETHER THESE EQUATIONS MADE IT POSSIBLE TO PREDICT THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF REFRIGERANT MIXTURES, PARTICULARLY FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE ADAPTATION OF INTERACTION PARAMETERS AND OF MIXTURE RULES. THE VALUES MEASURED OF THE BEHAVIOUR AT THE VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM OF 4 BINARY SYSTEMS OF REFRIGERANTS WERE USED.
