RESULTS OF A STUDY OF CHILLING POULTRY CARCASSES WITH CARBON DIOXIDE BY PELLETS FILLED INTO THE CARCASS CAVITY. THE MINIMUM PROPORTION OF PELLETS REQUIRED TO CHILL POULTRY CARCASSES FROM AN INITIAL TEMPERATURE OF 303 K (30 DEG C) TO AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 277 K (4 DEG C) WAS DETERMINED.
