Chlorophyll fluorescence of cucumber fruits Aramis F1 as affected by storage conditions.

Author(s) : KOSSON R.

Summary

The chlorophyll fluorescence changes of cucumber fruits Aramis F1 cv. stored in perforated polyethylene bags (perforation 0.001%) or without packagings at 1.5 and 12.5°C were studied. The significant decrease of relative variable fluorescence of cucumber fruits at temperature 1.5°C after 7 days of storage in comparison to temperature 12.5 or 20°C was found. The cucumber fruits stored in packagings (temperature 1.5 or 20°C) were characterized by slower decrease of relative variable fluorescence than non packaged ones.
