Summary

This report examines the climate change programmes in the non-EU OECD countries that are members of Annex 1 of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Changes (Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the United States). For each country, the chapter includes the background to energy developments (electricity, fossil fuels, indigenous fuels and renewables, gas and oil exports, industrial, transport, residential, commercial or agricultural and forestry sectors) and individual country profiles for reducing emission and climate change.
