Summary
Different environmentally-friendly quick-freezing concepts with brine or CO2 as a secondary refrigerant and CO2 as a primary refrigerant are compared to the current commonly used R404A direct-expansion system. The goal to be attained with these new CO2 concepts that have been implemented in nine supermarkets up to now is to optimize the economic efficiency of environmentally-friendly refrigerating systems.
