Compatibility of automotive air conditioning system components with retrofit environment.
Author(s) : ROHATGI N. D. T., VERDILE P. L.
Summary
The Ford Motor Company has been conducting laboratory tests, product tests and vehicle field tests to implement a retrofit development process for mobile air-conditioning systems initially designed for R12-mineral oil. The results of this compatibility study suggest that a large number of automotive air conditioning system components are compatible with a retrofit environment, containing R12-R134a-mineral oil-polyalkylene glycol.
