Summary

The article describes the experiences with 37 vehicles from 18 makers in 1993 and 1994 to gather more information on the results of power flushing a system to remove existing mineral oil and, more importantly, to determine if the use of polyol ester oils, as opposed to polyalkylene glycol oils, would bring about any changes in the results in the areas of short term durability, seal compatibility, performance, etc.
