Control of liquid flow to evaporators on pump circulation systems.

Author(s) : JESSEN L. M.

Summary

For industrial applications, liquid injection in traditional pump circulation plants is controlled by manual throttle valves. Advantages gained from automatic control of liquid flow to evaporators are discussed. The technical principles of such a system are detailed, and the results of a test carried out in a coldstore in Denmark are presented. Results showed that it is possible to reduce the refrigerant charges of pump circulation systems by controlling the liquid flow to the evaporators.
