Summary

USING THE PREDICTION METHOD PROPOSED BY REDLICH-KISTER, NINE KINDS OF REFRIGERANT MIXTURE CRITICAL PRESSURES AND TEMPERATURES ARE CALCULATED AND COMPARED WITH THE RESULTS CALCULATED FROM THE EMPIRICAL EQUATIONS SUGGESTED BY BENEDICT AND PAWLEWSKI. COMPARISONS ARE MADE BETWEEN THE EXPERIMENTAL AND CALCULATED RESULTS FOR CO2 -ETHANE, CO2 -SO2 AND NINE KINDS OF HYDROCARBON MIXTURES AND FOR THE R12-R22 REFRIGERANT MIXTURE. THE CRITICAL PARAMETERS DERIVED CAN BE REGARDED AS REFERENCE FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN WHEN NO EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE AVAILABLE.
