Summary

The use of eutectic solutions in the transport of perishable goods has been limited by certain problems which may soon be overcome. As they present definite advantages, it is very possible that once these problems have been resolved, their use will develop and become widespread, after realistic studies have been carried out with proven numerical programs, allowing them to be applied to the appropriate cases. It is very possible that their development is linked to others, such as thermal storage in air conditioning and the use of thermal containers in general transport, whether by land, sea, or air.
