Summary

The cycle analyses of refrigerant mixtures of CO2/DME and HFO-1234ze(E)/HFC-32, pure refrigerants of them, and some conventional refrigerants have been carried out in order to clarify cycle characteristics such as COP, operating pressure, volumetric refrigeration effect. In the present simulation condition, the COP of HFO-1234ze(E)/HFC-32 is the highest among the calculated refrigerants. The low volumetric refrigeration effect of HFO-1234ze(E) can be improved by mixing HFC-32. The COP increases with mixing HFC-32. In case of CO2/DME, the COP is also higher than that of CO2 and DME. The operating pressure of CO2 can be reduced by adding DME into CO2. The COP is higher for heat pump water heater condition where temperature change of heated water in heat rejecter is large.
