Summary
Experiments were conducted to obtain the correlation on the airside heat transfer coefficient of wire-on-tube type heat exchangers using single layer samples. Correction factors to the Zhukauskas correlation were determined from the experimental results. Numerical analysis and experiments were performed. The results show that the average discrepancy between the performance experiments and present numerical results is 3.7%, while it was 24.7% when the existing correlation was used.
