Summary

It is common knowledge that the most valuable resource on the planet will soon be water. The methods related to the operation of artificial cold autonomous generators that are guaranteed to provide air cooling temperature below the dew point have the greatest prospects. The most promising focus here is the development of systems that work from the low-potential heat source - solar energy and are destined for extracting water from air on the basis of absorption water-ammonia refrigerating machine (AWRM). The assessment of the average consumption of electrical power showed that in the operation of refrigerating machines, 0.330 kWh is required for 1 liter of water from air in steam-compression analogues, in the proposed scheme of AWRM with a booster compressor - 0.100 kWh, when working in conditions of a moderate climate and 0.138 kWh - in a tropical climate.
