THE PROBLEMS AND THE DIFFICULTIES RAISED BY THE MEASUREMENT OF TEMPERATURES IN THE STORAGE OF HEAT-SENSITIVE AND CHILLED PRODUCTS OVER VARIOUS TIME INTERVALS ARE REPORTED. A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC UNIT DEVELOPED FOR THE MEASUREMENT AND RECORDING OF TEMPERATURES WITH SUFFICIENT ACCURACY OVER LONG PERIODS IS DESCRIBED ; THE OPERATING MODE OF THE SYSTEM (BUFO-TERM) IS PRESENTED WITH ITS WIRING DIAGRAM AND DATA PROCESSING, AND ALSO THE MAIN TECHNICAL DATA OF THIS SYSTEM ; TWO PRACTICAL EXAMPLES OF USE ARE GIVEN: MEASUREMENT OF TEMPERATURES IN PALLETISED GOODS DURING DELIVERY AND MEASUREMENT OF THE TEMPERATURES OF AIR AND GOODS IN REFRIGERATED CABINETS.
