Dynamic simulation of a double-effect parallel-flow LiBr-water absorption chiller.
Author(s) : LIN P., WANG R. Z., WU J. Y.
Summary
A dynamic model of a double effect parallel-flow LiBr-water absorption chiller has been developed. Lumped parameter method has been used for the main components to form their mass and energy conservation equations. A 20% linear change of external conditions during 1000 s has been added to the model to investigate the dynamic behaviour of the chiller. The dynamic simulation results show that it takes about 50 minutes for the chiller to achieve a new steady-state. External and internal heat transfer process and the characteristics of thermal mass have great influences on the system's dynamic behaviour.
