Summary
Fruits were placed in plastic bags or wrapped in paper and stored at 0 deg C and 85% relative humidity for 4 weeks. Samples were taken at weekly intervals and analysed immediately, or left for 2 days at 20 deg C to study shelf-life; firmness, colour, weight loss, titratable acids and TSS were assessed. Average weight loss was considerably reduced for fruits stored in plastic bags. Results are given for several cultivars.
