Summary
The effect of prestorage heat treatment (33, 37 or 41 °C for 24 hours) on the incidence of chilling injury during cold storage (at 1 more or less 1 °C) was investigated. Prestorage heat treatment delayed the onset and development of chilling injury by 3-4 days.
