Summary

THE TREATMENT OF GRAPES WITH SO2 IS THE MAIN METHOD FOR REDUCING LOSSES BY DIFFERENT PATHOGENIC AGENTS, MAINLY BOTRYTIS CINEREA. THE PURPOSE OF THE INVESTIGATION WAS TO DETERMINE THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND GAS CONCENTRATION AND THE FREQUENCY REQUIRED FOR REDUCING ROTTING DURING STORAGE. PERIODICAL TREATMENTS AT 0.25% HAVE A GOOD FUNGICIDAL EFFECT, WHEN THEY ARE APPLIED EVERY SEVENTH DAY AND THOSE AT 0.35%, EVERY TENTH DAY.
