Type of article: Article
Summary
THE MAJOR REASONS FOR LOSS OF QUALITY IN TABLE GRAPES DURING STORAGE ARE DECAY, MAINLY CAUSED BY BOTRYTIS CINEREA AND DESICCATION OF THE STEMS. THE STANDARD STORAGE METHOD BASED ON SO2 TREATMENT OFFERED BETTER PROTECTION AND AS A RESULT INDUCED LESS TOTAL LOSSES DURING STORAGE THAN THE CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE STORAGE COMBINATIONS USED FOR THIS STUDY.
