EFFECTS OF A PRECOOLING-IONISATION-MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE ASSOCIATION ON STORAGE OF FRESH STRAWBERRIES. FIRST TRIALS.

EFFETS COMBINES DE LA PREREFRIGERATION, DE L'IONISATION ET DE TRAITEMENTS GAZEUX SUR LA CONSERVATION DE LA FRAISE. PREMIERS ESSAIS.

Summary

THE AUTHORS TRIED TO REDUCE MOULDS INFECTION BY USING THE ASSOCIATION OF SEVERAL TREATMENTS: PRECOOLING IMMEDIATELY AFTER PICKING, IONISATION IN AIR OR IN MODIFIED ATMOSPHERES, STORAGE AT 278 K (5 DEG C) IN AIR OR IN 10/10 CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE. IONISATION OF FRUIT UNDER AIR AT 100 OR 200 KILORAD FOLLOWED WITH COLD STORAGE IN INCREASED CO2 CONCENTRATION, GIVES THE BEST RESULTS AND GREATLY DECREASES THE DEVELOPMENT OF BOTRYTIS CINEREA.
