Summary

The efficiency of sulphur dioxide released from sodium metabisulfite was tested during cold storage of table grapes. Grape quality was maintained with sulphur dioxide emitted from sodium metabisulfite in powder form in SYS generators, or as a solution in small polyethylene bags. The sulphur dioxide content in the grapes was below the permitted upper limit.
