Energy efficiency of domestic refrigerators and deep freezers with hydrocarbons as working fluids.

Summary

Energy consumption was measured in small refrigerators and freezers at different ambient temperatures, using R134a, isobutane or a propane-isobutane blend as a refrigerant. The results for the hydrocarbons show that machines have already been produced with energy efficiency greater than that of R12 and equal to that of R134a.
