Summary

The authors describe the design and technical features of a device for chilling and freezing packed foodstuffs. As an example, results are given for packs of 250 g of curd. The throughput of the device is 750 kg/h in chilling mode and 350 kg/h in freezing mode. It can be used for refrigerating treatment of any packed foodstuff with maximum dimensions of 150 x 5 (10) cm and of thickness of 3 to 4 cm.
