Summary
Details are given of warehouse construction plans, inventories and turnover, plus insulation and freezing equipment purchasing plans for 1993-1994 in the USA, Europe and the Pacific Rim. Other factors considered are materials handling, computerization and transport purchasing plans. European cold store operators are largely re-equipping with ammonia systems, the USA mostly uses ammonia whereas the Pacific Rim is still in favour of CFCs although this is coming under severe scrutiny.
