Evaluation of renewable heat sources utilization by heat pumps.

Summary

This paper is concerned with the problems of the evaluation of heat pump operation at the rate of renewable heat sources utilization. A scientific method of such evaluation is presented in comparison with the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (DEPC) on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources issued of 11 December 2008. It is shown that evaluation by this directive does not take into consideration the share of electricity production from renewable energy sources in total gross production of electricity in individual EU countries.
