Summary
Seven red currant cultivars grown in tunnels during 1993 were harvested 4 times at weekly intervals, starting when the berries were adequately coloured, and stored in combinations of CO2 at 0, 20 or 25% and O2 at 2 or 18-21%, at 1 or -0.5 deg C for up to 24 weeks. The effects on fruit quality were assessed immediately after storage and after holding at 20 deg C for 4 days.
