Experiences in heat pumps combined with thermal storage for buildings in Japan.
Author(s) : HINO T.
Summary
The article describes the various methods for storing ice that make it possible to postpone all or part of refrigerating production to off-peak hours, when electricity is cheaper. A procedure current being researched and developed, involving direct contact between the water and the refrigerant (n-pentane) is described.
