Summary
The authors investigated the charging process using experimental devices developed by the authors and obtained correlations revealing the variation of the secondary refrigerant temperatures at inlet and outlet and the cool storage agent temperature with time. They also examined supercooling and nucleation of water inside the flat, rectangular capsule during the charging process and found it helpful when reducing the supercooling degree, to add a nucleator to water so as to raise the efficiency of the ice making chiller.
