Summary
This research program is studying the energy efficiency of the 10,000 watt-thermal capacity refrigeration machine-heat pump system, in warm and cold seasons, and is examining the problems of the compatibility of a new mixture, R32-R125-R134a, with the materials and lubricants of a R22-designed machine. The paper presents the specifications of the plant and measuring equipment, and compares the results obtained with each of the two fluids for an operating period of several months.
