EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF HIGH HEAT FLUX TUBES FOR THE NEW TYPE MAIN CONDENSER OF AIR SEPARATION.

Author(s) : LIN L.

Summary

THE HIGH HEAT FLUX TUBE IS COMPOSED OF AN ALUMINIUM POROUS SURFACE OUTSIDE TUBE FOR ENHANCEMENT OF BOILING HEAT TRANSFER AND VERTICAL V-TYPE CORRUGATED SURFACE INSIDE TUBE IN ORDER TO ENHANCE CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER. THE TESTING RESULTS HAVE SHOWN THAT THE HIGH FLUX TUBE HAS MUCH HIGHER HEAT FLUX AND MUCH HIGHER HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT THAN THAT OF THE SMOOTH SURFACE TUBE. IT COULD BE USED IN THE AIR SEPARATION SO AS TO REDUCE THE TOTAL TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE IN MAIN CONDENSER, THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF COMPRESSOR AND SIZE OF THE MAIN CONDENSER.
