DIMENSIONLESS EXPRESSIONS FOR PREDICTING MEAN CONDENSING HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND FRICTION FACTOR FOR AIR COOLED CONDENSERS ARE PRESENTED. USING THE AUTHORS' EXPRESSIONS FOR LOCAL CONDENSING HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT, LOCAL VAPOUR PHASE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND LOCAL INTERFACIAL FRICTION FACTOR, THE TUBE LENGTH AND STATIC PRESSURE DROP REQUIRED FOR COMPLETE CONDENSATION ARE CALCULATED FOR A WIDE RANGE OF RELEVANT PARAMETERS. THE FLUIDS EMPLOYED INCLUDE REFRIGERANTS R12, R22, R114 AND R502.
