Feasibility study on CO2 compression systems in Japan.
Author(s) : AOKI Y., YOSHIDA Y.
Summary
R&D activities in Japan on CO2 compression systems for various applications are introduced in this paper. The use of CO2 refrigerant is becoming a focus of attention for its low global warming potential and less hazardous nature. The system's energy efficiency is the most important problem to be solved. As for the key components of CO2 systems, the compressor is the most important component. The status of system evaluation for reliability and production cost is in a starting stage on the whole.
