Flammable refrigerants: experiments on propane.
[In German. / En allemand.]
Author(s) : BUETTNER G., PETERS J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article compares two refrigerating plants equipped with a hermetic compressor and with an open compressor, respectively, filled with R22 and R290. The performances of the installations were measured under the same evaporating and condensation pressures. The authors concluded that, given the current state of knowledge, R290 constitutes an ideal substitute refrigerant useable in chilling and freezing, among other applications.
