Summary
The paper reviews factors which affect power consumption for the freezing of lean beef, tightly packaged. The freezing time data presented is based on the "simplified procedures" of a modified Plank's equation. Factors considered include: shape, size and packaging of the product; temperature of the cooling medium; type of freezing system; type of refrigeration system selected etc.
