Summary

ANALYTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS OF THE FACTORS WHICH AFFECT THE FREQUENCY RESPONSES OF PLATE-FIN COIL TYPE EVAPORATOR OUTLET TEMPERATURES TO FLOW RATE CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE. BY USING EQUATIONS SUCH AS THE HEAT ENERGY BALANCE, THE PRINCIPLE OF MASS CONSERVATION AND THE EQUATION OF STATE OF THE REFRIGERANT IN THE EVAPORATOR, THE BASIC EQUATIONS FOR DESCRIBING THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF EVAPORATOR CAN BE DERIVED. THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE EXPERIMENTAL VALUES OBTAINED FROM FREQUENCY RESPONSE MEASUREMENTS AND THE CALCULATED VALUES OBTAINED FROM ANALYSIS SHOWED GOOD AGREEMENT.
