Summary
Modern ice machines are indispensable equipment in meat-processing plants and specialized retail stores. The ice produced is used in sausage and mince manufacturing and is also employed to cool fish and display salads and snacks. Freshness of products placed on flake ice is maintained over longer periods and products thus displayed remain more appetizing. Use of crushed or powdered ice can be a useful alternative for meat. New ice machines are hygienic, environmentally friendly and require little maintenance.
