Author(s) : MEARINI A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The required conditions for the replacement of R12 by R134a in existing plants are outlined concerning compatibility with materials (metals, elastomers), oil miscibility, inflammability, and the changes to be brought about in different parts of the system. The care which must be applied to achieve satisfactory conversion is stressed, which is only justified for systems above a certain power. Y.G.
