Global phase behaviour of natural refrigerant mixtures.

Summary

The topology of phase diagrams, including saturation curves, critical lines, liquid-liquid-gas, and azeotropic lines has been determined for the model equations of state. The influence of the parameters of the equation of state model on phase diagrams is visualized on the methodology of a global phase diagram (GPD). The boundaries of GPD (tricritical points, double critical endpoints, azeotropic lines, etc.) divide the space of model parameters into the regions corresponding to various phase behaviour types. The mapping of the global equilibrium surface in the parameter space of the equation of state model provides the most comprehensive system of criteria for predicting of the binary mixture's phase behaviour. Predictions for solubility of natural working fluids in various alternative refrigerants and lubricants have been carried out. Azeotropy appearance criterion in natural working fluid mixtures has been established from GPD also.
