TWO FACTORIAL EXPERIMENTS WERE CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE THE INFLUENCE OF PREINCUBATION AT 280.2, 285.8, 291.3 OR 296.9 K (7.2, 12.8, 18.3 OR 23.9 DEG C) FOR 1, 2, 3 OR 4 WEEKS ON THE HATCHING QUALITY OF BOBWHITE QUAIL EGGS. RESULTS INDICATED BOBWHITE QUAIL EGGS SHOULD NOT BE STORED LONGER THAN 7 DAYS. ALL TEMPERATURES TESTED GAVE SATISFACTORY RESULTS FOR 1 WEEK STORAGE ; IF EXTENDED STORAGE IS REQUIRED, THE TEMPERATURE SHOULD BE 285.8 K.
