Summary

The storage of pharmaceutical products with liquid or pasty form is difficult. The stability of these products depends on ambient temperature in area storage. Thereby the cold chain of medicinal products must be controlled from their manufacturing to their delivery Pharmaceutical laboratories, like Bio-Rad, have chosen the freeze-drying solution. This solution ensures the products' stability in ambient temperature. The liquid or pasty form of medicinal product becomes a powder form and keeps its chemical proprieties. The used machine is a freeze-dryer. Although the freeze-drying has several advantages for the pharmaceutical products’storage, the cost and the maintenance of freeze-dryers are very expensive and its mechanics must be controlled. This article makes know the technical of freeze-drying used in manufacturing's process of medicinal products. Also, it makes light of advantages and disadvantages.
