Summary
The paper presents recent heat pipe research and development activities in Japan. It includes information on Japanese basic research and applications from prior to the 4th International Heat Pipe Symposium (IHPS) up to now. But it excludes Japanese research papers which were presented at the 4th IHPS in Tukuba, Japan, in 1994, and at the 9th International Heat Pipe Conference in Albuquerque, USA, in 1995. The paper covers two sections which describe basic studies and applications.
