HEAT PUMP AND HEAT EXCHANGER FOR PROCESS WATER HEATING IN FISH FARMING PLANTS.

Author(s) : EGGEN G.

Summary

SINCE 1981, MORE THAN 200 HEAT PUMP AND HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEMS WERE INSTALLED FOR HEATING WATER IN NORWEGIAN FISH FARMING PLANTS. SOME PROBLEMS OCCURRED, SUCH AS WATER FREEZING AT THE LEVEL OF THE EVAPORATOR AND FOULING OF THE HEAT EXCHANGER. THIS PAPER DEALS WITH THESE PROBLEMS AND DESCRIBES A PLANT ABLE TO MAINTAIN RELIABLE OPERATION WITHOUT FOULING AND FREEZING HAZARDS.
