HFO-1234yf, a forerunner of a new generation of refrigerants, offers a reliable and competitive solution, as it meets the requirements of the European directive 2006-40EC. It presents the thermodynamic characteristics and intrinsic properties that place it as the best possible candidate as an alternative to R-134a in mobile air conditioning, and has the potential to substantially improve the LCCP (Life Cycle Climate Performance) potential of the mobile air-conditioning function, because of its potentialin terms of globa use.
