Summary

During a survey on "deep-frozen and chilled foods", the State has put perishable goods displays under a magnifying glass in 42 french districts. Of the 4,081 temperature measurements taken, 9.5% did not comply with the standards for dealing with chilled foods and 4.5% for the deep-frozen foods. The survey resulted in 166 warnings, 75 test reports and 2,381 kg goods being withdrawn from sale (27% chilled foods, 25% frozen foods, in 1992).
