Summary
THE RESULTS ARE SUMMARISED OF INVESTIGATIONS WHICH HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT IN NORWAY INTO THE CONDITIONS WHICH ARE NECESSARY TO PROLONG THE PRODUCT LIFE OF FRESH FISH TO ENABLE IT TO BE TRANSPORTED OVER LONG DISTANCES. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE TYPE OF PACKAGING MATERIAL, THE MIXTURE OF GASES OF VARIOUS TYPES OF FISH, STORAGE TEMPERATURE, IMMERSION IN BRINE BEFORE PACKAGING, ETC.
