LABORATORY TEST OF HEAT EXCHANGERS FOR HYBRID HEAT PUMPS.

Author(s) : BERGMANN G., HIVESSY G.

Summary

THE ADVANTAGE OF COMPRESSION HEAT PUMPS IS THAT THE CIRCUIT IS BETTER ADJUSTED TO TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS OF THE HEAT SOURCE AND HEAT SINK. HOWEVER, THIS ADVANTAGE IS OBTAINED ONLY WITH COUNTERFLOW HEAT EXCHANGERS. THE AUTHORS STUDIED EVAPORATION AND CONDENSATION IN TUBE-IN-TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS. THE MIXTURE IN THE INNER TUBE AND MEASUREMENTS WERE MADE, ON ONE HAND, WITH A BARE TUBE AND, ON THE OTHER HAND, WITH TURBULATORS. THEY ESTABLISHED THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND PRESSURE DROP.
