LIQUID VISCOSITIES OF THE NON-AZEOTROPIC BINARY REFRIGERANT MIXTURES R22-R114, R22-R152A, R22-R142B. MEASUREMENTS AND CALCULATIONS.

Author(s) : ARNEMANN M., KRUSE H.

Summary

A PRESSURE RESISTANT FALLING BALL VISCOMETER OF THE HOEPPLER TYPE WAS DESIGNED. IT IS SUITABLE FOR MEASURING THE VISCOSITY OF LIQUIDS IN THE RANGE OF 0.1 MILLIPASCAL/S TO45 PASCALS/S, UP TO A PRESSURE OF 2.5 MEGAPASCALS. A METAL BELOW ALLOWS TO CONTROL THE PRESSURE ABOVE THE SATURATION PRESSURE OF THE FLUID FILLED IN. THE TEMPERATURE WAS MEASURED AT EACH END OF THE TUBE WITH A PT-100 TEMPERATURE PICK UP.AFTER CALIBRATION THE VISCOSITY OF THE PURE FLUIDS R22, R114, R152A AND R142B AND THE BINARY MIXTURES R22-R114, R22-R152A AND R22-R142B WERE MEASURED. THE LIQUID DENSITY OF THE MIXTURES WERE MEASURED WITH A PYCNOMETER. THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA OF THE VISCOSITY WERE COMPARED WITH DATA OF OTHER AUTHORS. FOR THE PURE COMPONENTS AND THE MIXTURES, SEVERAL EQUATIONS AND MIXING RULES WERE INVESTIGATED.
