MINERAL OILS, POLYALKYLENE GLYCOLS, ESTERS, PERFLUOROPOLYETHERS AND FLUOROSILICONES ARE CONSIDERED. THEIR PROPERTIES IN TERMS OF MISCIBILITY, LUBRICATION, CHEMICAL STABILITY AND AGEING ARE EXAMINED.
